My path in the hair industry began behind a barber chair, where I discovered the magic of connection and the confidence a great haircut can bring. As I grew, so did my passion leading me into the color world, where I found a new love for artistry, transformation, and self-expression. Opening my own studio has allowed me to create a space filled with intention, creativity, and care. It’s more than just a salon: it’s a comfortable, safe space where you can show up exactly as you are. I’ve designed my studio to feel welcoming, inclusive, and calming, so that every person who walks through the door can relax, breathe, and know they’re in good hands. My goal is simple: I want every client who sits in my chair to feel valued, inspired, and truly beautiful inside and out. I just ask that all food and drinks are enjoyed respectfully to keep the space clean and comfortable for everyone. My goal is to make your appointment feel relaxed and effortless from start to finish.
CANCELLATION POLICY
📌Cancellation, No-Show, Late & Rescheduling Policy (Formal Version) At Sophie Ethridge Hair Studio, we value both your time and ours. To ensure smooth scheduling for all clients, we kindly ask that you review and respect our policies below: 📌 Cancellations Within 48 Hours Any appointment cancelled within 48 hours of the scheduled time will result in a 20% cancellation fee. This fee is calculated as 20% of the total cost of the service that was booked and will be charged at the time of cancellation. If your appointment required a deposit, you will forfeit your deposit if you choose to not reschedule within the 48 hour window. For questions, please contact us as soon as possible. 📌 No-Shows (Day of Appointment) Clients who do not show up for their scheduled appointment without prior notice will be charged 50% of the service total for all appointments. This fee is non-refundable. Appointments requiring a deposit will forfeit their deposit and be charged an additional 20%, resulting in 50% of the service being charged. 📌 15-Minute Late Policy Clients are given a 15-minute grace period from the scheduled appointment time. If you expect to be late, please notify us as soon as possible. Arrivals more than 15 minutes late without prior notification will result in an automatic cancellation of the appointment and be treated as a no-show (see above). This ensures we remain on schedule and can provide each client with the full service they are booked for. 📌 Rescheduling To keep our booking system fair and efficient for all clients, we have the following rescheduling rules: You may reschedule an appointment up to 2 times through the online system. After the second reschedule, you will be required to contact us directly to make further changes. You may only reschedule no later than 24 hours from your scheduled appointment time. If you need to make changes within the 24-hour window, you must contact us directly. Please note that rescheduling inside the 48-hour cancellation window may still incur applicable fees if it results in a cancellation. 📌 Why These Policies Exist Last-minute cancellations, no-shows, frequent rescheduling, and late arrivals significantly impact our business and prevent other clients from booking available appointment times. These policies help protect our time, preparation, and income as a small business. By booking an appointment with us, you acknowledge and agree to the terms of the cancellation, no-show, late, and rescheduling policy. 📌Behavior & Safety Policy To ensure a safe, respectful, and professional environment for all individuals within the studio, clients are expected to conduct themselves in an appropriate and considerate manner at all times. The stylist reserves the right, at their sole discretion, to pause or terminate any service immediately if a client’s behavior is deemed disruptive, unsafe, harassing, inappropriate, or otherwise creates an uncomfortable or hostile environment for the stylist, other clients, or individuals within the shared space. In the event that a service is discontinued due to such behavior, the client may be held responsible for full or partial payment of the scheduled service, and may be declined future appointments at the stylist’s discretion. These policies are in place to maintain a secure, inclusive, and professional setting. By booking an appointment, clients acknowledge and agree to these terms. 📌Shared Space & Noise Policy To help keep the studio a comfortable and relaxing environment for everyone, please take a moment to review our shared space and noise guidelines: 📌Shared Space My studio is a part of a collective space, which means multiple artists may be working at the same time. To ensure a calm, respectful atmosphere for all clients: - Please keep conversations at a considerate volume. - Be mindful of sound from devices—headphones are appreciated when using phones or tablets. - Respect the privacy and personal space of other guests and stylists. 📌Children & Noise I understand that childcare isn’t always accessible, and I welcome children when necessary. However, to maintain a peaceful environment and ensure everyone’s safety: Children must remain seated and supervised at all times. Please bring quiet activities to help keep noise levels low. If noise becomes disruptive or unsafe, I may ask to reschedule the appointment to a better time. These policies are in place to create a relaxing, safe, and enjoyable experience for all guests.
